of <h1>Gujarat's Commercial Tax Department Renamed to Commissionerate of State Tax Effective July 1, 2017, After GST Act 2017.</h1> The Government of Gujarat has announced that, effective July 1, 2017, the 'Commercial Tax Department, Gujarat State' will be renamed as the 'Commissionerate of State Tax, Gujarat State' following the introduction of the Goods and Services Tax Act 2017. This change is formalized under the order issued by the Deputy Secretary to the Government, Finance Department, in the name of the Governor of Gujarat.
