The amendment modifies the Service Tax Rules, 1994, specifically rule 7 and rule 7B. It mandates that the service tax return for the period from April 1, 2017, to June 30, 2017, must be submitted by August 15, 2017, using Form 'ST-3' or 'ST-3C'. Additionally, any revised return for this period must be submitted within 45 days from the original return submission date as per rule 7.
