<h1>India Imposes 5% Customs Duty on Certain Steel Products Used in CRGO Manufacturing; Effective June 12, 2017.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has amended Notification No. 12/2012-Customs dated March 17, 2012, by inserting a new serial number 333F in the table. This amendment, effective from June 12, 2017, introduces a 5% customs duty on specific goods: hot rolled coils, cold-rolled Magnesium Oxide (MgO) coated and annealed steel, hot rolled annealed and pickled coils, and cold rolled full hard. These goods are used in the manufacture of cold rolled grain oriented steel (CRGO) under tariff item 7225 11 00.
