The amendment modifies the designation of officers for specific regions. For Jammu and Kashmir (excluding certain areas in Srinagar) and specific districts in Punjab, the Commissioner of Customs, Amritsar, and subordinate officers are designated. For Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, and the remaining areas of Punjab, the Commissioner of Customs, Ludhiana, and subordinate officers are designated. This notification updates the roles and jurisdictions of customs authorities in these regions.
