of <h1>Section 269ST Cash Transaction Restrictions Exempt for Certain Receipts from April 2017 per Notification No. 28/2017.</h1> The Central Government has issued a notification stating that the provision of section 269ST of the Income-tax Act, 1961, which restricts cash transactions, will not apply to receipts by individuals from entities specified in sub-clause (b) of clause (i) of the proviso to section 269ST. This exemption is effective from April 1, 2017. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, under the Central Board of Direct Taxes, and is referenced as Notification No. 28/2017.
