of <h1>India Designates Special Courts in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for Faster Trials Under Companies Act, Section 435(1.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, issued a notification on March 23, 2017, designating certain courts as Special Courts under Section 435(1) of the Companies Act, 2013. These courts are established to expedite trials for offences under the Act that carry a punishment of two years or more. The designated courts are the Special Court for trial of Economic Offences in Hyderabad for the State of Telangana and the Court of IV Additional District Judge in Visakhapatnam for the State of Andhra Pradesh. These courts will exercise jurisdiction as specified for their respective states.
