of <h1>CBDT Amends Notification S.O.2483(E); New Table Appoints Bengaluru CPC Commissioner for All Income Tax Returns.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes has amended Notification No. S.O.2483(E) from September 30, 2009, under the authority of Section 120 of the Income-tax Act, 1961. The amendment involves substituting the existing table below the Schedule with a new one. The updated table designates the Commissioner of Income-tax at the Centralised Processing Centre in Bengaluru, Karnataka, as responsible for all cases where income returns are filed, whether electronically or on paper. This amendment takes effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
