<h1>India Revises Tariff Values for Edible Oils, Brass Scrap, and Precious Metals in Notification No. 08/2017-CUSTOMS (N.T.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Central Board of Excise and Customs, issued Notification No. 08/2017-CUSTOMS (N.T.) on January 31, 2017, amending previous tariff value notifications. The amendment substitutes new tariff values for various goods, including edible oils, brass scrap, poppy seeds, areca nuts, gold, and silver. For example, crude palm oil is valued at $822 per metric tonne, brass scrap at $3155 per metric tonne, and gold at $388 per 10 grams. These changes are made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962.
