Seeks to further amend Notification No. 69/2011-Customs, dated 29th July, 2011 so as to provide a deepen the concessional rate of basic customs duty in respect of tariff item 8408 20 20 [engines of a kind used for the propulsion of specified motor vehicles – of cylinder capacity exceeding 250 cc] and 8708 40 00 [gear box and parts thereof, of specified motor vehicles], w.e.f. 1st of January, 2017, when imported under the India-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IJCEPA) and to carry out editorial changes as a result of HS 2017 changes - 64/2016 - Customs -Tariff

Customs Duty Concessions on Motor Vehicle Parts Amended; Includes Engines Over 250cc and Gearboxes from January 2017.

The notification amends Notification No. 69/2011-Customs to deepen the concessional rate of basic customs duty on specific motor vehicle parts, specifically engines with cylinder capacity over 250 cc and gearboxes, effective January 1, 2017.
