of <h1>New Exchange Rates for Currency Conversion in India Effective December 2, 2016; Supersedes Notification No. 138/2016.</h1> Notification No. 145/2016 issued by the Central Board of Excise and Customs, under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, establishes new exchange rates for foreign currency conversion into Indian Rupees effective from December 2, 2016. This notification supersedes the previous notification No. 138/2016. The rates are specified for both imported and export goods across various currencies including the US Dollar, Euro, Pound Sterling, and others. For example, the exchange rate for one US Dollar is set at 69.40 INR for imports and 67.70 INR for exports. The notification includes detailed schedules listing the rates for different currencies.
