of <h1>Central Government Amends Money-Laundering Rules: Chairperson and Members to Receive House Rent Allowance Instead of Government Housing.</h1> The Central Government has amended the Prevention of Money-Laundering (Appointment and Conditions of Service of Chairperson and Members of Adjudicating Authority) Rules, 2007. Effective from the publication date in the Official Gazette, Rule 12 now states that the Chairperson and Members are not eligible for General Pool residential accommodation. Instead, they will receive a House Rent Allowance similar to other Central Government officers of equivalent pay. However, if they already occupy government accommodation, they may retain it upon joining the Adjudicating Authority.
