<h1>India Amends Customs Duty: Technitium-99m Now Duty-Free, Removes Item 111 from List 4 Under Notification 55/2016-Customs.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 55/2016-Customs to amend Notification No. 12/2012-Customs dated March 17, 2012. Under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962, the amendment introduces a new entry, 163B, in the notification's table, specifying Technitium-99m with a nil rate of duty. Additionally, item number 111 in List 4 is removed. This amendment is deemed necessary in the public interest and follows the last amendment made by Notification No. 53/2016-Customs on September 29, 2016.
