Previously classified as 'Restricted,' the import status is now 'Free,' provided that the import is accompanied by a license from the Wireless Planning and Coordination (WPC) wing of the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. This change is enacted under the authority of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, and the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020.
