of <h1>CBDT Defines Long-Term Securities u/s 54EA: Includes HUDCO Bonds and Mutual Fund Units.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes, under the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 10248, specifying certain bonds and units as long-term specified securities under section 54EA of the Income-tax Act, 1961. This includes bonds redeemable after three years, issued by the Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited, New Delhi, and units repurchasable after three years, issued by any mutual fund, including the Unit Trust of India, as referred to in clause (23D) of section 10 of the Income-tax Act.
