of <h1>India Revises Currency Exchange Rates for Imports and Exports; New Rates Effective February 19, 2016.</h1> The Government of India's Ministry of Finance, through the Central Board of Excise and Customs, issued Notification No. 29/2016 on February 18, 2016, under the Customs Act, 1962. This notification supersedes the previous Notification No. 18/2016, establishing new exchange rates for converting specified foreign currencies into Indian rupees for imported and exported goods, effective February 19, 2016. The notification lists exchange rates for various currencies, including the US Dollar, Euro, and Japanese Yen, among others, with separate rates for imports and exports. This notification was later superseded by Notification No. 36/2016 on March 3, 2016.
