This designation applies to officers stationed within a 50-kilometer area from the India-Nepal border and at specific railway stations including New Jalpaiguri, Howrah R.S., Barauni R.S., Garhara Transhipment Yard, Katihar R.S., Lucknow R.S., and Bareilly R.S. These officers are empowered to aid in the execution of customs duties as per the notification dated January 22, 1972.
