of <h1>Indian Railways and RPF Officers Designated to Assist Customs Near India-Nepal Border Under Customs Act, 1962.</h1> Officers of the Indian Railways and the Railway Protection Force have been designated by the Central Government to assist Customs Officers under the Customs Act, 1962. This designation applies to officers stationed within a 50-kilometer area from the India-Nepal border and at specific railway stations including New Jalpaiguri, Howrah R.S., Barauni R.S., Garhara Transhipment Yard, Katihar R.S., Lucknow R.S., and Bareilly R.S. These officers are empowered to aid in the execution of customs duties as per the notification dated January 22, 1972.
