<h1>Central Government Defines Qualifications for Screening Suspected Smugglers Under Sea Customs Act, Section 170A.</h1> Notification No. 173, dated December 29, 1956, issued by the Central Government under sub-section (4) of section 170A of the Sea Customs Act, 1878, specifies the qualifications for individuals eligible to screen suspected smugglers. It states that any person employed as a radiologist in a government hospital, or a graduate in medicine with a D.M.R. degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification, and at least five years of experience as a radiologist, is recognized as qualified for this purpose in India and the State of Pondicherry.
