of <h1>Customs Appoints Joint Commissioner as Adjudicating Authority for 2015 Show Cause Notice under Customs Act, 1962</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs has appointed the Joint or Additional Commissioner of Customs at Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House, Nhava Sheva-III, Raigad, as the Common Adjudicating Authority. This appointment allows the Commissioner to exercise powers and discharge duties for adjudicating matters related to a show cause notice issued to a company and others. The notice, dated June 8, 2015, was issued by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Ahmedabad. This appointment is made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, and is detailed in Notification No. 139/2015-Customs (N.T.) dated December 10, 2015.
