of <h1>Delhi Appoints DANICS Officer as Special Commissioner for VAT under Delhi VAT Act, 2004</h1> The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi has appointed an officer from the Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service (DANICS) as the Special Commissioner for Value Added Tax (VAT). This appointment is made under the authority of the Delhi Value Added Tax Act, 2004, and its accompanying rules. The officer assumed the role effective from December 26, 2013, and will assist the Commissioner of Value Added Tax in administering the Act. This decision was authorized by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and communicated by the Deputy Secretary of Finance.
