<h1>India Removes Tariff Rate Quota on White Butter Imports; Zero Duty Now Applicable Under Customs Act, 1962</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 52/2015-Customs, amending Notification No. 12/2012-Customs dated March 17, 2012. This amendment removes the tariff rate quota (TRQ) of 15,000 metric tons for the import of white butter, butter oil, and anhydrous milk fat at zero import duty by omitting entry number 9 from the notification. This change is made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, in the interest of public policy. The notification was published on November 20, 2015, by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue.
