<h1>Granite SEZ in Tamil Nadu Reduced by 58.29 Hectares; Approved by Commerce Ministry Under SEZ Act, 2005.</h1> The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has approved the de-notification of 58.29 hectares from a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) dedicated to granite processing in SIPCOT Industrial Growth Centre, Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu. Initially notified in 2010, the SEZ's area will now be reduced to 95.54 hectares. The proposal for de-notification was submitted by the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu and received no objection from the Tamil Nadu State Government. The Development Commissioner of Madras SEZ also recommended this change, which was enacted under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005.
