of <h1>Delhi Amends Excise Rules: Duty on Country Liquor Now 245% of Wholesale Price, Effective July 1, 2015</h1> The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi has issued an amendment to the Delhi Excise Rules, 2010, under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009. This amendment, titled the Delhi Excise (Amendment) Rules 2015, will take effect on July 1, 2015. It specifically modifies rule 152, replacing sub-rule (2) with a new provision that sets the duty on country liquor at 245% of the wholesale price. This notification was issued by the Deputy Secretary of Finance on behalf of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.
