The amendment involves changing the effective date from October 1, 2015, to April 1, 2016, and revising the table of goods exempted from excise duty. The updated table includes various anti-tuberculosis drugs and diagnostic equipment, such as biosafety cabinets, bacteriologic incubators, and autoclaves, among others. This amendment is made under the powers conferred by the Central Excise Act, 1944, in the public interest.
