of <h1>Delhi Sets 40% Entertainment Tax Rate for Cinematographic Film Exhibitions, Effective July 20, 2015, per Notification</h1> The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi has issued a notification under the Delhi Entertainments and Betting Tax Act, 1996, setting the entertainment tax rate at 40% for all cinematographic film exhibitions in the region. This notification supersedes the previous one from July 17, 2008, and will take effect from July 20, 2015. The announcement was made by the Finance Department and authorized by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.
