of <h1>Ministry Exempts Certain Tyres from Quality Control Order, Finalizes List for OEM Imports with 612 Tyre Types</h1> The Pneumatic Tyres and Tubes for Automotive Vehicles (Quality Control) Order, 2009, issued by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, exempts certain tyre categories from its provisions. A committee was formed to identify tyres not manufactured domestically and intended for import by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for the replacement market. This notification supersedes a previous memorandum from September 2014, finalizing a list of 612 tyre sizes and types for import. The detailed list is available through the Department's website.
