of <h1>India Sets Up Committee to Review Essentiality Certificate Applications for Project Imports Under Customs Notification No.230/86</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce & Industry's Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, has established a committee led by the Joint Secretary to review applications for the 'Essentiality Certificate for Project Import.' This certificate is in accordance with customs notification No.230/86. Applications must be submitted to the Entrepreneurial Assistance Unit, Secretariat for Industrial Assistance in New Delhi, where they will receive a registration number. The department aims to issue the certificate or communicate otherwise within three weeks, provided all necessary documents are submitted as per the checklist.
