of <h1>India Rescinds Quality Control Orders for Electric Lamps and Electrical Accessories Under Section 3 of Essential Commodities Act</h1> The Central Government of India, under the powers granted by Section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, has rescinded the General Service Electric Lamps (Quality Control) Order, 1989, and the Electrical Wires, Cables, Appliances and Accessories (Quality Control) Order, 1993. This decision, effective immediately, nullifies the previous orders issued by the Ministry of Industry's Department of Industrial Development on April 24, 1989, and February 24, 1993, respectively. However, actions taken or omitted under these orders prior to their rescission remain unaffected.
