of <h1>India Amends Customs Notification: Effective Date Shifted to October 1, 2015, for Public Interest</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 15/2015-Customs, amending Notification No. 12/2012-Customs dated March 17, 2012. This amendment, made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, changes the effective date in clauses (a) and (ab) from April 1, 2015, to October 1, 2015. This adjustment is deemed necessary in the public interest and is published in the Gazette of India. The principal notification had previously been amended by Notification No. 10/2015-Customs on March 1, 2015.
