of <h1>India Revises Excise Duty Rates for Serial Number 71, Item (ii) Under Notification No. 04/2015 Effective January 30, 2015.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 04/2015-Central Excise, amending Notification No. 12/2012-Central Excise dated March 17, 2012. This amendment, effective January 30, 2015, modifies the excise duty rates specified in the original notification. Specifically, for serial number 71, item (ii) in the table, the duty rate is revised to '14% + 5.00 per litre or 10.25 per litre, whichever is lower.' This change is enacted under the powers granted by section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944, in the public interest.
