This appointment is made under the Customs Act, 1962, empowering the Principal Commissioner to adjudicate matters related to a show cause notice issued to a company based in Mumbai. The notice, dated October 30, 2014, was issued by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Mumbai Zonal Unit. The Principal Commissioner will collaborate with the Joint/Additional Commissioner from the Nhava Sheva office for this purpose.
