of <h1>Delhi amends Sixth Schedule of VAT Act for tax exemption to Latvian Embassy; effective September 22, 2014.</h1> The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi has amended the Sixth Schedule of the Delhi Value Added Tax Act, 2004, to grant VAT exemption or refund to the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in New Delhi. This decision, made in response to a request from the Ministry of External Affairs, is intended for both official and personal use by the diplomats. The amendment, effective from September 22, 2014, adds the Republic of Latvia to the list of embassies eligible for this exemption. The notification was issued by the Commissioner of Value Added Tax on January 2, 2015.
