Flextronics SEZ in Tamil Nadu Reduced by 25.07 Hectares After Government Approval and State No Objection.
M/s. Flextronics Technologies (India) Private Limited proposed to establish a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for electronics hardware and related services in Sandavellur 'C' Village, Tamil Nadu. Initially, 101.21 hectares were notified for this purpose. The company later sought to de-notify 25.07 hectares, reducing the SEZ area to 76.14 hectares. The Central Government approved this de-notification on March 21, 2013, following recommendations from the Development Commissioner and a 'No Objection' from the Tamil Nadu State Government. The de-notified areas are detailed in a table, listing the survey numbers and corresponding hectare adjustments.
