Issued</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, issued Notification No. 03/2010-Central Excise (N.T.) on February 10, 2010. This notification appoints Commissioners of Customs (Appeals) as Commissioners of Central Excise (Appeals) under the Central Excise Act, 1944. These appointed officers are granted the powers of Central Excise Officers to adjudicate appeals within their designated jurisdictions as assigned by the Chief Commissioners of Central Excise.
