of <h1>India Appoints New Member to Competition Commission Under Competition Act 2002 for a Five-Year Term</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, has appointed an individual as a Member of the Competition Commission of India. This appointment is made under the authority of the Competition Act, 2002. The term will last for five years, until the appointee reaches the age of sixty-five, or until further orders are issued, whichever comes first. The notification was issued under reference number F. No. 5/24/2013-CS and dated 24th April 2014, with Manoj Kumar, Joint Secretary, overseeing the issuance.
