of <h1>New Member Appointed to India's Competition Commission for 5-Year Term Under Competition Act, 2002</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, has appointed an individual as a Member of the Competition Commission of India. This appointment is for a term of five years, effective from the date the appointee assumes the position. The tenure will end either at the completion of five years, upon the appointee reaching the age of sixty-five, or until further orders are issued, whichever occurs first. This decision is in accordance with the powers granted by the Competition Act, 2002.
