of <h1>Government Cancels IT Special Economic Zone Plan in Gurgaon, Haryana; Original Notification Nullified After Developer's Request</h1> The Central Government has rescinded the notification establishing a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for IT at Village Jhund Sarai and Bhangrola Villages, District Gurgaon, Haryana. Initially proposed by a private developer under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, the SEZ covered an area of 67.64 hectares. The developer sought to denotify the entire area, and the government approved this request on September 16, 2013. Consequently, the previous notification dated October 18, 2007, is nullified, except for actions taken before this rescission.
