of <h1>Central Government Establishes Advisory Board Under Section 8 of COFEPOSA Act, 1974 for One Year Starting December 19, 2005.</h1> In accordance with Section 8 of the Conservation of Foreign Exchange & Prevention of Smuggling Activities Act, 1974, the Central Government has issued a notification, GSR 703(E), dated December 2, 2005. This notification supersedes previous notifications from December 15, 2004, and September 21, 2005, except for actions already undertaken. It establishes an Advisory Board for one year, effective December 19, 2005. The board consists of three members: a chairman and two additional members, all holding judicial positions.
