of <h1>Central Government Establishes New Advisory Board Under Section 8 of 1974 Act, Effective December 19, 2006</h1> In accordance with section 8 of the Conservation of Foreign Exchange and Prevention of Smuggling Activities Act, 1974, the Central Government has issued a notification superseding a previous one from December 2005. This notification, dated December 7, 2006, establishes an Advisory Board for a one-year term. The board consists of three members: a chairman and two additional members. The notification takes effect on December 19, 2006.
