of <h1>Central Government Forms Approval Committee for Maharashtra Biotechnology SEZ Under SEZ Act 2005 with Diverse Members</h1> The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for the biotechnology Special Economic Zone in Maharashtra, managed by a private company. This committee is formed under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, and includes various ex-officio members such as the Development Commissioner of the SEZ, a Director or Deputy Secretary from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Joint Director General of Foreign Trade in Mumbai, and commissioners from Customs, Central Excise, and Income Tax. Additionally, representatives from the Ministry of Finance and the Government of Maharashtra, along with a representative from the developing company, will participate as members or special invitees.
