Government Approves IT Special Economic Zone on Jaipur-Ajmer Expressway in Rajasthan Under SEZ Act, 2005

The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology and IT-enabled services at the Jaipur-Ajmer Expressway in Rajasthan. M/s. Vatika Jaipur SEZ Developers Ltd. proposed this under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The approval was granted on June 16, 2006, following the fulfillment of necessary requirements. The designated area, now officially notified as an SEZ, includes specific plots in the villages of Balmukundpura Urf Nada, Bagru Khurd, Thikaria, and Prithvisinghpura Urf Naiwala, covering a total area of 20.1366 hectares.
