<h1>Govt Amends SEZ Notification: Total Area Increased from 16 to 16.19 Hectares Under Rule 8, SEZ Rules 2006.</h1> The Central Government has amended the notification number S.O. 540(E), dated 10th April 2007, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The amendment, issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, modifies the specified total area from '16 hectares' to '16.19 hectares' as per rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006. This change is documented in notification number S.O. 1695(E), dated 3rd October 2008.
