of <h1>New IT SEZ in Butibori, Maharashtra, designated as Inland Container Depot under Customs Act, effective October 27, 2008.</h1> The Central Government has designated October 27, 2008, as the commencement date for a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) focused on information technology and IT-enabled services in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation Industrial Area, Butibori, Village Rengapur, Taluka Nagpur, District Nagpur, Maharashtra. This SEZ, developed by a private company, is recognized as an Inland Container Depot under section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962, pursuant to the powers granted by section 53(2) of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005.
