of <h1>India Amends Excise Notification to Include Kolkata Tax Officials; Effective October 25, 2013, Under Excise and Service Tax Rules.</h1> The Government of India has issued an amendment to Notification No. 20/2006-Central Excise (N.T.), originally published on September 30, 2006. This amendment, effective from October 25, 2013, modifies paragraph 2 of the original notification. It adds references to the Chief Commissioners of Income-tax in Kolkata I, II, III, and IV, as well as the Commissioners of Income-tax (Central) I, II, and III, and the Director of Income-tax (International Taxation) in Kolkata. This change is made under the provisions of the Central Excise Rules, 2002, and the Service Tax Rules, 1994.
