<h1>Government Cancels IT/ITES Special Economic Zone Notification at Sohna Road, Gurgaon; Original Area Notified in 2007 Now Denotified</h1> The Central Government has rescinded the notification establishing a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for IT/ITES at Sohna Road, Gurgaon, Haryana, originally proposed by a company under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The SEZ covered an area of 42.7045 hectares and was initially notified in 2007. The company proposed to denotify the entire area, and the government approved this denotification on June 27, 2013. Consequently, the government has officially withdrawn the notification, except regarding actions taken or omitted before this rescission.
