Initially proposed by a private company, the SEZ was previously notified for larger areas in 2010 and 2012, with some areas already denotified in 2013. Following this latest denotification, the SEZ's total area is now reduced to 25.810 hectares. This decision was made in accordance with the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, and related rules.
