of <h1>Government Recognizes Bengal Social Service League for Tax Exemption under Section 10(23C)(iv) for 1987-88, 1988-89 Assessment Years.</h1> The Central Government, under the powers conferred by sub-clause (iv) of clause (23C) of section 10 of the Income-tax Act, 1961, has issued Notification No. S.O.1754 dated April 26, 1988. This notification recognizes 'Bengal Social Service League, Calcutta' for the purposes outlined in the aforementioned sub-clause. The notification applies to the assessment years 1987-88 and 1988-89.
