of <h1>New Valuation Rates for Auto Parts, Plant-Growth Regulators, and Toothbrushes Under Central Excise Act, 1944</h1> The notification dated May 29, 2006, issued by the Central Government under the Central Excise Act, 1944, amends a previous notification from March 1, 2006. It introduces new valuation rates for specific goods under the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) system. The amendments add parts, components, and assemblies of automobiles with a valuation rate of 33.5%, plant-growth regulators at 30%, and toothbrushes at 28.5%. These changes are set to take effect on June 1, 2006.
