of <h1>Indian Foundation for Development approved for scientific research under Section 35(1)(iii) of Income-tax Act 1961.</h1> The Indian Foundation for Development, Manipal, has been approved by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi, under section 35(1)(iii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, for scientific research activities. The approval is effective from January 1, 1986, to March 31, 1988. The institution must maintain separate accounts for funds received for research, submit annual returns of research activities by May 31, and provide audited financial statements by June 30 each year. Additionally, it must apply to the Central Board of Direct Taxes for approval extension three months before the current approval expires.
