of <h1>Dalmia Institute Approved for Tax Benefits Under Section 35(1)(ii) for 1987; Must Meet Reporting Conditions</h1> The Dalmia Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research in Rajgangpur, Orissa, has been approved under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi. This approval is valid from January 1, 1987, to December 31, 1987, under the 'Association' category, subject to conditions. The institute must maintain a separate account for research funds, submit annual returns of research activities by May 31, and provide audited financial statements by June 30 each year to the prescribed authority and relevant tax bodies. Applications for approval extension must be submitted three months before expiry.
