of <h1>C. C. Shroff Research Institute Gains Approval under Section 35(1)(ii) for Scientific Research Funding with Conditions</h1> The C. C. Shroff Research Institute in New Delhi has been approved under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. The approval is subject to conditions including maintaining a separate account for funds received for scientific research, submitting annual returns of research activities by May 31 each year, and providing audited accounts and balance sheets by June 30 each year. The institute must apply for approval extension three months before expiry. This notification is effective from January 1, 1987, to December 31, 1989.
